You're the expert.
Tech shouldn't be
your second job problem.

Rebel Basis is the AI + tech partner for expert-run businesses. We take the process burden and the technology burden off your desk — so you can get back to the work only you can do.

The approach

Three disciplines.
One person. No handoffs.

Most technology projects don't fail on the technology. They fail in the gaps — between what the business needs, what the tech can do, and what people will actually use.

01 / THE FOUNDATION

Business

Our foundation. MBA academics mixed with real-world experience — from the P&L to operational process. We speak owner.

02 / THE ENGINE

Technology

Serial technologist and AI builder. We ship outcomes, not specs.

03 / THE MAGIC

Design

Experience is our language. Expertise in human-centric technology development, digital workflows, and design thinking.

Most firms give you one. Some give you two. The gap between them is where your ROI dies.

What we do

Fewer decks. More working systems.

Owners rarely come to us asking for a service. They come to us with a sentence like one of these. Most start with a single fix and grow into the next.

01

“I can't tell which of my jobs actually make money.”

Process Modernization
BusinessDesign

We map how the work really flows, cut the steps that shouldn't exist, and rebuild what's left so the numbers fall out on their own. This is the step most AI projects skip — and the reason most of them fail. Automating a broken process just gets you a faster broken process.

What you get
  • A clear picture of how work moves through your business today
  • A rebuilt process, written down in plain language
  • The reporting that tells you where the money went
02

“My team retypes the same information into four different places.”

AI & Automation Builds
TechnologyDesign

Working systems, not concepts. Assistants, intake, scheduling, communications, reporting, workflows — automating away the repetitive tasks that distract from your core value.

What you get
  • Working software, running in your business
  • The repetitive tasks handled without a person
  • Hours back every week, for every person doing them
03

“Everyone's selling me AI and I can't tell what's real.”

Digital & AI Strategy
BusinessTechnology

What to do, in what order, and what to leave alone. Roadmaps you can actually execute, plus honest vendor and tool evaluation — we don't take referral fees from anyone we recommend.

What you get
  • A prioritized plan with costs and sequence
  • A straight comparison of your real options
  • A short list of what to ignore, and why
04

“My customers keep calling to ask things my website should answer.”

Product & Experience Design
DesignBusiness

The parts your clients actually touch: booking, intake, onboarding, the follow-up. Design-thinking facilitation when the team needs to get unstuck together, in a room, in a day.

What you get
  • Booking, intake, and onboarding that works without you
  • Screens and flows your customers understand the first time
  • A facilitated working session when the team is stuck
05

“We bought the software. It doesn't fit how we actually work.”

Technology Implementation
TechnologyBusiness

Standing up and integrating vendor tools so they work for your business — not the other way around. Configuration, data migration, connecting the systems that were never designed to talk to each other.

What you get
  • Your tools configured around how you run, not the demo
  • Your existing data moved over, intact
  • Systems that finally talk to each other
06

“It worked fine until the one person who understood it left.”

Team Enablement
DesignBusiness

Training so it sticks after we leave. A system nobody uses is an expense, not an asset.

What you get
  • Training for the people who actually use it
  • Written documentation you own and can update
  • A named person inside your business who owns it
Fit

Built for the experts.

Your business runs on your judgment. You're spending too much of it on process and technology instead of the work only you can do.

This is for you if…

  • You're owner-led — one or two people can make a real decision without a committee.
  • Roughly 5–100 people, healthy revenue, and growing on reputation.
  • Technology isn't your product. It's the tax you pay to deliver your product.
  • You know the process is broken. You just don't have the time or the vocabulary to fix it.
Commonly, but not exclusively
Law firms Medical & dental practices Accounting & advisory Architecture & engineering Trade schools Automotive shops & dealers Salons & spas Veterinary clinics Specialty contractors Boutique manufacturers Real estate & title Independent agencies

Don't see yourself on this list? Reach out anyway. These are just the places we've seen the pattern most often — expertise carried by a few people, and a pile of process and technology getting in its way. If that's your business, the industry doesn't much matter. The list isn't the point. The shape of the business is.

This isn't for you if…

We'd rather tell you now than bill you to find out.

  • Buying anything takes a six-month procurement cycle.
  • Every decision needs a steering committee to bless it.
  • You want a strategy deck, not a system that runs on Monday.
  • You're looking for the cheapest hands you can find.
Pricing

Two ways of working.
Public pricing — because you shouldn't have to ask.

01 / Project

Fixed scope. Fixed price. Agreed before anything starts.

You just met us. You shouldn't have to sign up for a relationship to find out whether we're any good — trust is earned, not committed to in advance.

Scoping & bidding cost you nothing

We start with one problem. We dig in, work out what it takes, and put a fixed price on it — approved by you before a minute of work happens. No open-ended meter, no surprise invoice, no discovery phase you pay for. And if the fix isn't worth more than the fee, we'll say so instead of selling you the project.

$200/hr

The rate your fixed bid is built from. You see the total and approve it up front — the hours are our problem, not yours.

Scope a project
02 / Retainer

Faster, cheaper, and never fixed to one scope.

The first project is rarely the last one. Once the work is continuous, a fixed bid starts working against you — every new idea becomes a new negotiation, and small improvements never clear the bar of being worth writing up.

A retainer removes that. Nothing is locked to a scope, so we can move on what matters most. We iterate, we ship, we adjust. And because we're already inside your business, we stop needing to be briefed — we start anticipating. Deeper context means better solutions, delivered faster.

It's also meaningfully cheaper per hour than project work. Think of it less as buying hours and more as having a fractional growth officer — someone whose job is making your financial goals real.

Proof

What it looks like in practice.

Two owners who'd outgrown the way they were running things. Different industries, same shape of problem.

Automotive · Restoration shop
“They didn't hand us a system and tell us to change how we operate. They adapted QuickBooks to fit how a restoration shop actually runs, instead of forcing us to fit the software.”

“We'd been restoring cars for 15 years, and we'd flat out outgrown the way we were handling invoicing and finances. It worked when the shop was smaller. It didn't work anymore. None of us came from a bookkeeping background — we knew something had to change, but we didn't know what ‘good’ looked like.

They took the time to understand long jobs, parts, sublets, customer approvals along the way. And they didn't just set it up and disappear — they documented the processes step by step and trained our staff so everyone knew their part. That mattered as much as the software itself.

We've got real visibility into job costs and cash flow now, and invoicing takes a fraction of the time it used to. I'd recommend them to any shop owner who knows they've outgrown their current setup but isn't sure what to do about it.”

DaveOwner, DSD Automotive
Trade school · Massage therapy
“Building our course calendar used to take days of painful cross-checking by hand — and we still caught mistakes after printing. Now the whole year comes out correctly in seconds.”

“I enter our courses and holidays in the new tool, and it lays out every class day for both the day and night programs, accounts for our holiday closures, and prints clean calendars we can post on our website and hand straight to students and faculty.

It removed a recurring headache from our admin work and dozens of hours of manual effort we didn't have to spend. It only took one meeting with Bryan and he developed a hardy tool with features I didn't even know I needed. The process was efficient and simple — thank you.”

About

I spent twenty years learning how big companies do this.

Then I watched the same playbook get sold to small businesses that couldn't afford it and didn't need it. Enterprise process, enterprise timelines, enterprise invoices — and at the end of it, a deck.

My background is product and digital transformation: Gartner, 7-Eleven, AT&T. An MBA and an MS. A certification in design-thinking facilitation. What that really bought me is the ability to sit in three chairs at once — the owner's, the engineer's, and the customer's — and I've found that's the rarest thing in this business.

Rebel Basis exists because expert-run businesses deserve the same caliber of thinking, delivered by one person who actually builds the thing. No account team. No bench. No handoffs.

How we work

Momentum in weeks, not quarters.

The order matters. Each step earns the next one — and you can stop at any point with something useful in hand.

01

Find the drag

A working session to trace where your time actually goes. No discovery phase, no invoice for learning your business.

Free · 30 minutes
02

Prioritize it

We name the highest-leverage fix and what it's worth. If it isn't worth more than the fee, we say so.

Typically week 1
03

Build it

Fix the process, then automate it. You see working software, not status reports.

Typically weeks 2–4
04

Hand it over

Your team is trained, it's documented, someone owns it. Then we go find the next thing.
